Meet Ben Weber
Proud Republican, Husband, and Small Business Attorney Running for State Representative in Ohio’s 86th House District (Union & Marion counties).
Ben Weber is an attorney who fights for the people who make Ohio work. In his legal practice, he represents small businesses and property owners — helping them navigate government regulations and property rights issues. He works directly with small businesses to cut through red tape and push back when government overreach threatens their livelihoods. Every day, Ben puts his legal training to work defending constitutional rights and protecting the economic freedom of Ohio families.
Before practicing law, Ben gained valuable private-sector experience working for leading American manufacturer Nucor Steel. There, he saw firsthand how taxes, regulations, and energy policies impact manufacturing operations and working families. That experience gave him a practical understanding of what it takes to create jobs and sustain economic growth — and reinforced his belief that government should support and strengthen job creators, not stand in their way.
Ben later brought both his legal expertise and private-sector perspective into public service. He worked at the highest levels of Ohio’s judicial system, helping elect conservative justices and then serving as a judicial staffer to multiple members of the Supreme Court of Ohio. In that role, he worked on complex constitutional matters and contributed to decisions that shaped statewide law and policy, strengthening his commitment to the rule of law and limited government.
He also served in the Ohio Statehouse, working for Republican lawmakers to draft and advance conservative legislation. Ben played a key role in crafting bills that were signed into law — including some of the strongest Second Amendment protections in Ohio’s history. He worked on legislation to defend religious liberty, protect the sanctity of life, and reduce burdensome regulations that weigh down Ohio families and small businesses. Ben’s record reflects not just a commitment to conservative values, but a proven ability to turn those principles into lasting, enforceable law.
Ben is running to slash property taxes, fight for families, and advance a more affordable future that puts Ohio First. He is 100% pro-life, a steadfast defender of the Second Amendment, and a strong advocate for parental rights and school choice.
Ben lives in Union County with his wife, Emily, where they are active in their community.
He is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and Capital University Law School, where he built the foundation for a career dedicated to protecting Ohio’s Constitution, communities, and conservative values.
